The title of Most Innovative Brand 2013 is the highest award conferred each year by the German Plus X Award organization. The rewarded brands are characterised by extraordinary achievements in the fields of quality, design, user experience, functionality, ergonomics and environmental awareness. That Elan is the most innovative brand is also evidenced by the fact that Elan received the award in the sports equipment category for the second year in a row, having already received the flattering title in 2012. In addition to Elan, Opel, Phillips, Vodafone, Toyota, LG and other brands also received the Most Innovative Brand 2013 award.
The Plus X Award organisation also awarded Elan with the Best Product 2013 award. Elan received this award in the skiing category for its »Elan Amphibio 14 Fusion« ski, which has already received the Red Dot award for best achievement in design this year.
Leon Korošec, Member of the Management Board, is proud of the company's achievements: “Elan has again proven that we can stand next to other esteemed sports brand anytime. Even more, we have proven again that we are the best on a global scale, as we are the most innovative. At Elan, innovation is part of our DNA that we simply believe in. Innovation requires not just patience and knowledge, but also courage. And we have all of that at Elan, it is all reflected in our products, and we will remain so in the future as well. The best.”
Luka Grilc, Brand and Product Director: “Skiing was born in Slovenia, skiing is a national sport and Elan is a company that designs, engineers and manufactures the best skis in the world. We proved again that we are number one in the world in innovation and design, and that is our direction for the future as well. We convinced the jury this year with three models that have amphibio technology (Amphibio 14, Spectrum and SLX), and the lightest women's ski in the world, the Delight. We must pass on the pride and praise we received at the awards ceremony in Köln to all employees, partners and those who use Elan skis.”
